Webflow Publishing

Publish directly to your Webflow CMS with rich text, images, and SEO metadata.

    Prerequisites

    • A Webflow site with a CMS collection for blog posts
    • A Webflow API token (generate from Webflow > Site Settings > Integrations)
    • At least one author configured in your Webflow CMS authors collection

    Step 1: Connect Webflow

Go to Integrations in the sidebar. Under Webflow, click Connect and paste your API token.

Techne will validate the token and show your available sites. Select the site you want to publish to.

    Step 2: Select a collection

Choose the CMS collection that holds your blog posts. Techne will read the collection's field schema to enable field mapping.

    Step 3: Map fields

Open the built-in field mapper and map Techne fields to your Webflow collection schema. Standard sources include title, body, slug, SEO description, featured image, tags, and selected author.

You can also configure custom AI prompts per field and map reference fields for author/tag collections when your CMS model requires them.

Step 4: Configure reference collections (optional)

If your blog uses dedicated author/tag collections, set those in the Webflow integration panel. This enables author selection and automatic tag linking at publish time.

    Step 5: Publish content

When publishing, select Webflow as a target platform. Choose an author from the dropdown, then confirm.

Techne creates the CMS item and optionally publishes the Webflow site so the post goes live immediately.

    Tips

    • Use the Test Connection button to verify your setup before publishing.
    • If field mapping fails, double-check that your Webflow collection has the expected field types.
    • Use cross-link settings if you want Webflow posts to include a link back to the Techne Blog version.
    • Webflow integration is available on paid plans.
